Welcome back to crazy little things! I hope everyone is doing ok and if you are not, well that is ok too because you don’t have to be ok all the time as you are only human. I try not to count down the days but I can’t help myself this week, bring on the weekend. I am still not sure whether I should have gone back to work and the promises that were made to me about supporting me have already been broken, I haven’t even had a meeting about my return or what we call a return to work. It is not all doom and gloom though, my drawing is really coming along and I am finding myself more and more just sitting at my desk for hours listening to music and sketching my troubles away. I just feel that there is more I could be doing with my life and maybe it may be worth shaking things up a bit if only my comfort zone wasn’t so damn comfy!
So today’s tip of the day is –
If life was like a box of chocolates…
If life was like a box of chocolates, it would mean that now and then you are going to come across a chocolate that you don’t like, so what do you do? Do you spit it out or do you eat it anyway? We discover the chocolate we like by trial and error and also remember you may not like the coconut one but someone else might.
In a box of chocolate, there are the chocolates we love and can’t get enough off, the chocolates we avoid and only eat if we are desperate and the chocolates that we neither love or hate but chocolate is chocolate. There never seems to be an equal amount though. Is it just me who finds that the chocolates that you love there is always less of compared to the others. Also, the chocolates that we hate, we seem to forget that we hate them or what they look like and always eat one first my accident.
There is a point to all this chocolate talk and not just to make you hungry. Our stories are all different and that doesn’t make your life wrong compared to someone else’s choices. As you may like coconut and I like caramel, does that make one of us wrong? No.
We may feel that the good times are a few and far between and the bad times leave a bad taste in our mouths that affect our future decisions. Life is like a box of chocolates, we learn from trying and yes you may end up trying something you don’t like but sooner or later you will find a chocolate that hits the sweet spot.
