Welcome back to crazy little things! I hope everyone is doing ok and if you are not, well that is ok too because you don’t have to be ok all the time as you are only human. Life has a funny way of showing you that even though things may not be on track it doesn’t mean you can’t get find your way back on track. I have come to terms recently that I am struggling and I need help with managing my mental illness, so now it is just a waiting game to when I can back to see the mental health services now that I have contacted them again. Even though I may be struggling I do feel good and actually proud of myself for knowing I need help and I made the steps to get that help. So like I always say it ok not to be ok because right now I don’t want to smile for the sake of it and hide how I am feeling, I would rather smile when I am actually happy.
So my start of the week has been a little bit of a slow, apart from contacting mental health services I have just been taking things slowly aka doing sweet fuck all! Actually, I have done some writing for my book and some painting but that’s about it. My to-do list is growing and I need to give myself a little kick up the arse to get a few things ticked off. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get motivated?
So today’s tip of the day is –
Don’t count yourself out just yet.
There are many ways or circumstances where people can feel like they just can’t catch up with life or with other people. We can end up feeling disconnected from the world because we feel like we can’t keep up with it and because we feel disadvantaged by our mental state or by things that have happened to us. This is something that I have been feeling more and more recently and it is a hard thing to overcome. No amount of motivational quotes or positive thinking can get you out of that mindset, so most of us end up giving up and digging our self in our comfort zone even more.
I have definitely realized that this is the case for me and the only way I have battled that mindset is by doing and trying things that bring me out of my comfort zone. It may seem daunting and impossible but even the smallest steps out the comfort zone is progress. Even if you find yourself doing two steps forward and one backward, it’s still a start in the right direction. So don’t count yourself out just yet, just because you are not like other people or doing the same as them doesn’t mean that you are failing you do things at your own time and at your own pace.
