Welcome back to crazy little things! I hope everyone is doing ok and if you are not, well that is ok too because you don’t have to be ok all the time as you are only human. So here we are Christmas Eve and my last blogmas post. Firstly thank you for everyone who has supported me and you gave me a wonderful gift of being listened too. I know some posts haven’t been the most cheery and I did that for a reason. I try to keep my posts as honest as possible and I think it is an important message to get across that just because it is Christmas doesn’t mean life stops. Mental illness, stress, and people’s general mood is affected so much more during this Christmas period. So thank you again for joining me on this Christmas journey.
So let’s move on to my last blogmas post day 24 post –
Fuck it! It’s Christmas!
This is for you warriors out there, for all of you dealing with mental illness, family problems, food disorders and many other things over Christmas. I want to let you all know that you are fucking amazing and should be proud of yourself whether you are fully in the Christmas spirit or not. Have fun this Christmas and if you want that extra mince pie or 2 or you want to see alone and read the book you got for Christmas, then try to think fuck it its Christmas do what makes you happy. We have probably spent so much time over this last few months getting things for other people to make sure they are happy over Christmas, so don’t forget you deserve to be happy too.
So my message for Christmas this year is, fuck it! I am going to probably eat too much and drink too much and argue over board games with my partner and I will tell my anxiety fuck it because I know I will not be only one doing so and if the bitch of anxiety doesn’t like it well she can take her unwanted negative attitude somewhere else! So if you want to play with your children toys or have a good cry or take 5 minutes away from people then fuck it, there are no rules we have to follow when it comes to Christmas. Let yourself relax and enjoy yourself in whatever way you want.
Merry Christmas everyone and remember to stay safe.
Take care all,
