Welcome back to crazy little things! I hope everyone is doing ok and if you are not, well that is ok too because you don’t have to be ok all the time as you are only human. Today I am struggling emotionally, Christmas can come with many wonderful memories but also sad ones. As one of mine is 2 years ago today I suffered a miscarriage. It is so difficult to explain the lost like that and I honestly don’t talk about it much, but it is something that will remain upon my heart like a scar. I did debate with myself to stuff these feelings down this morning, as it’s the season to be jolly but just because it is Christmas doesn’t mean we have to be jolly because society tells us too. So instead I am embracing them and accepting the pain is there and just take care of myself today while I am going through emotions. No one is perfect the world isn’t perfect so why force yourself to have the perfect Christmas!
This doesn’t mean I am going to be down all Christmas, we can have a good Christmas if we are not ok. Please just because it is Christmas don’t forget to take care of yourself mentally because once Christmas is over those feelings will still be there and that is the present none of us want.
So let’s move on to my blogmas post day 22 post –
A present is not just what you find under the tree!
As we are edging closer to the end of a year many of us are thinking about our past and our future. What have we learned? How can we change? How do we move forward? We facing a scary time of the year so much has happened and so much is to come. So even though it is important and helpful for people to do those things we always seem to forget one thing…
The present. So as well as looking back to the past for answers and the future for change how about we acknowledge the present. To recognize how far we have come and how strong we are to face another year. To accept who we are now and loving that part of us as it soon we been in the past. Be present in the life you have now and let that be the motivation that guides you to your future.
Take care all,
