Don’t let the bitch of anxiety take away your victory!

Hey everyone,

Welcome back to crazy little things! I hope everyone is doing ok and if you are not well that is ok too because you don’t have to be ok all the time as you are only human. The storms clouds that have darkened my sky are now faded to a point where it is just the odd cloud in the sky. There are still moments where the light gets caught behind a cloud but I am getting back to he sarcastic and only slightly grumpy self. Which is such a relief, I really was worried there for a moment that I was going to go full-blown emo again! I really don’t think I could squeeze my 29-year-old big ass into a skin-tight pair of bright pink skinny jeans, but listening to The Used again was a bonus as I forgot how amazing their songs are. So I guess every cloud has a silver lining.
If you follow me on social media, you would know today I had a massive victory. I have been wanting to get back into swimming, as I used to swim a lot when I was younger and I love the water as I find it ever so soothing. Well, I finally did it!
Even after a complete freak out at the front door of the pool and another one in the changing rooms and begging my partner to take me home, I pushed past the bitch of anxiety and got in the pool and swam for 30 minutes. Actually thinking about it I feel like I punched the bitch of anxiety in the face and got in the pool. I was fighting against the shakes, the heart palpitations and the overwhelming negative thoughts. The warrior within me was strong enough to tell the bitch of anxiety to fuck off. I feel so proud and so damn happy to of fought this battle and to of won.

My tip of the day is –

Don’t let the bitch of anxiety take away your victory!

We all know the bitch of anxiety has many tricks up her sleeve and one of them is to take away your victories. Even after I have won a battle against anxiety I still can’t always feel pride without having that voice telling me “ what have you got to be proud about” “ don’t be so big-headed”. That is just the sore loser of anxiety talking trying to take back the victory.
Don’t let her do that. If you want to shout it from the rooftop you managed to do something that anxiety normally stops you from doing then shout it. I always write down my victories so I have something to look at to remind me that I can win.
I sometimes even buy myself a reward whether a new book or a new top, we deserve to treat ourselves. Think about it when a person has done something brave or won a race, they get a medal or a trophy to remind them of that victory. So don’t we deserve to get ourselves a medal or a trophy to remind us of a victory now and then?
Take care,

Vixxy Rose
